Inside and out, you can count on superb quality from anything bearing the names of half-brothers Martin Vollmer and Anders Nilsson. For example, twist the short little saddle bit to any angle and the fit remains precise and flush, something that can only be accomplished by having both perfectly centered drilling in the shank, and a perfectly centered tenon as well. Speaking of which, the tenon is finely polished, allow for a snug, yet smooth fit, and perfectly chambered as well. Outside, of course, we find a charming, handy Lovat design with plenty of bowl, plenty of flame grain, and a rich, smoky walnut contrast stain with a subtle hint of amber-hued warmth.
