From the right, this Senatorov has the look of a Danish squat Tomato design, while from the left, it has the look of a Danish squat Tomato design; just not the same
squat Tomato design. One is low, broad, and well-routed, while the other is low and broad, but buoyant. Take the bowl, for example, this asymmetry is akin to the organic style common in the Japanese school, how it plays out in the teardrop shank is more specifically reminiscent of Lars Ivarsson. Curiously enough, the effect makes the pipe a very sure sitter.
