American Estates: American Smoking Pipe Company Smooth Bent Paneled Apple (Reg. No.) (C.R.)

Product Number: 004-009-5703

The "C.R." indicates this briar was made by Curt Rollar. Curt and Mark Tinsky go way back, as friends and as pipemakers; both got their start as teenagers, working for Jack Weinberger, later going on to found American Smoking Pipe Company together. This one is a big, shapely, flame-grained paneled Brandy up front, followed by a very smooth, graceful transition, shank and stem. It fills things out in hand nicely, but also has enough bend to remain comfortably balanced when clenched.
