A less often seen Wiley classic (in the neoclassic sense) shape, arrived to me titled as a Patina (55), the only problem was that the number was where Randy drops his date stamp, not even vaguely close to where he puts his grade stamp. Doing what I always do when in doubt (bug the maker), Randy confirmed that it must have been made in 1995, and the only conclusion he could arrive at, as far as a grade stamp goes:"... must have slipped through the cracks or possibly was bought from me at my shop before it got graded." I'm hesitant to speculate about the grade, or what the grade would be if made today. Looking at our archives, however, I can tell you pipe could stand toe-to-toe with most any "X-0" I saw (not "X-5", "X-0"). At $125, in near-perfect condition, I see nothing but upside here.
