There's a lot going on in this Kevin Arthur bent Dublin. It sports a rather short asymmetrical bowl with extra-thick walls and an almost Calabash-like round-beveled rim. In contrast, a sharp, crisp line runs down from the middle of rim, across a rather Danish-looking heel, turning slightly through an elegant transition to trace the left flank of a slightly upward curved shank. The finish is sandblasted and darkly stained to bring out all kinds of grain, including a bit of plateau on top. Together with a jet-black acrylic stem and natural accent, these elements all combine to form a surprisingly elegant composition that just works.
