American Estates: Larry Roush Sandblasted Bent Apple with Silver (L1) (1765) (2010)
Product Number: 004-009-6236
Although Larry has made some leaner, and even taller, shapes, he seems to prefer these rather compact numbers. This particular piece appears to be a hybrid shape somewhere in between a bent Apple and a rugged Volcano. The plumpness of the lower bowl and heel combined with a thick, curved transition lend this briar a muscular, yet flowing aesthetic. Finished in a deep ruby stain and sandblasted finish, it's this sort of shape that pairs best with his signature trim sterling silver accents.
