As I look this pipe over, I become ever more smitten by its form. Did you happen to notice the smooth lines running from the beginning of the shank to the bowl, softly defining the bevel? Honestly, I'd be hard-pressed to think of a design which flows better than Eltang's Oscar, and when paired with this gorgeous deep burnt-orange contrast stain, it simply becomes irresistible. The icing on the cake, for me, was the subtly flattened plain, perfectly placed on the underbelly of the bowl. It sits as well, or better, than most "sitter" pipes that cross my desk, and with a gracefully raised posture that's not unlike a cheerfully preforming dolphin.
