"Hell of a sandblast," were the first words to come to mind when I saw this Grechukhin. To the point maybe, but I hardly think it does what is presented here real justice. This is, really, the kind of ring grain, depth, definition, and contrast finish that a pipemaker can spend years seeking to produce. Fortunately, you don't have to spend years trying to find it, as it happens to be sitting right here - albeit likely not for long.
