Though stocky as an old tree stump and every bit as rugged in texture, as you can see the lines and form of this Tonino Jacono straight Pot are tightly and precisely squared away from stem to stern. The particularly firm shaping of the lower bowl produces a bold heel, and combined with a good touch cant at the rim, the result is a pipe with a good bit of attitude (albeit attitude that refrains from going full-on brash, courtesy of an understated palette). Put simply, this pipe looks like if it decided it was going to start moving in a direction, it wouldn't let anything stop it - and if it decided it was going to hunker down and stay put, nothing is going to move it. And frankly that just seems well-suited to a Pot, and especially to a sitter Pot.
