A light, elegant number, albeit one that also displays quite a crisp and direct taper to its bowl, this beautifully grained bent Dublin is but only the second bamboo-stemmed piece we've ever had from Ichi Kitahara. He may not make them often, but evidently he's not shy about putting extra work into creating his own personal touch; while most artisans simply use a slim piece of vulcanite or acrylic between bowl and bamboo, in his previous piece he utilized a sliver of ivory, and here he presents us with a precise little wafer of pale, fine-patterned horn.
