Yes, it sits. I wouldn't go pounding on the table while it does, but the fact that this Moosefoot balances at all is impressive, considering the way Lars has set such a short shank and slender stem against a bowl that expands to such breadth and mass, set high above the delicate panel it perches upon. This is the kind of attention to detail I like to see. Would the shape be just as lovely if it couldn't balance on its own? Aesthetically, yes. But if you make a shape that appears it should be able to stand, there's always that sense of something missed, something that was left at "this'll do", if it doesn't. Lars didn't leave it, and that single detail reflects all the better on the design's whole.
