The Kyriazanos emblem is an homage to the Cycladic figurines of his region; the world’s first intentionally minimalist sculptures, believed to be carved as far back as five millennia ago. Quite fitting, for a young carver who holds a special reverence for traditional English shapes: those essential forms which have appealed for decades, even a century, without the need for superfluous embellishment. That passion, writ large, is immediately evident in this generously sized Kyriazanos rusticated Canadian. One certainly can't argue with the traditional, 100% hand shaped execution, nor the impeccable drilling and engineering, and the handcut jade-and-black colored ebonite stem works quite well with the stain. As a fine bonus, this good sized Group 6 only weighs about 45 grams - something which I had to feel to believe.
