For Erik Nording, this is a very uncharacteristic pipe. Usually, one can expect the Freehand approach from this seasoned artisan, typically inspired by the flow of a natural object, like a flower or pine cone. One would not typically associate such a standard classic design for Nording, nevertheless, there is something still so effortlessly playful in its execution. What's more, the straight grain running along the honey colored bowl is almost immaculate. Paired with the beautiful black-and-amber acrylic stem, the piece starts to feel more like a Nording, simply because of its flawless aesthetic unification.
