Nording: Huntingpipe Smooth Hare (2009)

Product Number: 002-508-1520

This Huntingpipe shape takes inspiration from the Hare, specifically Lepus capensis (the Cape or Brown Hare), a nocturnal herbivore that is natively found throughout Africa, but has also spread to many parts of Europe, Middle East and Asia. According to the included scroll, Nording got the request from a fan who wanted him to make a pipe that resembled the creature, that had the "angular shape of the head" and "its soft and round body-form". Nording knew no other shape would capture it better than the paneled Egg, combined with a gracefully curved shank and long stem that reminiscent of the animal's flexible ears.
