Behold the Reiichi Kurusu Windshield Nosewarmer, in all of its 3.84” glory! Always featuring fascinatingly forward stylistic touches (just take a gander at the incredible form and dual boxwood of the mount and bit) as well as an undeniably quirky-coolness, this shape has become something of a signature of Ray’s and one which has developed a nice following. Windshield pipes, first brought to public awareness by Dunhill, are overwhelmingly modified, standard-sized Billiards. If the intent is to allow a smoker to keep his pipe (jauntily) in the jaw while driving in an open vehicle, wouldn’t simple Archimedean principles suggest a shorter pipe - less stress on the jaw? Reiichi seems to think so, and I can’t say that I disagree.
