Petite, gracile (*perfect* adjective for a pipe such as this, and one that I happily stole... um, ‘appropriated’ from Seth [Who got it from Eric - Eric
]), and robed in a deliciously tactile blast, Asami-san’s fascination with the potential for small, wooden objects to soothe, stimulate, and delight shines in this composition. Elegant and a bit playful, by holding the height and width of the bowl to close to 1.5” and employing a stalk-like shank, this Grade ‘B’ Ikebana bent Brandy/Apple conveys the impression (especially in the photos) of being longer than the mere five inches that our calipers claim. The dimensions of the tobacco chamber almost plead to be fed with a fine flake, and walls of the bowl are ample enough to keep the exterior fairly cool to the touch. Quite recommended for the flake lover in all of us.
