With a bowl shape that readily evokes many of the Sixten Acorns of yore (not terribly surprising, given that Kikuchi boasts a “Sixten-2” Erdos number
), but a depth of blast rarely seen in an Ikebana, much less a high-grade Danish interpretation, Asami has shown an amazing, across-the-board consistency in her Acorns. This is something which I personally find delightful. Sure, some of that delight comes simply from such a new talent having already established a voice – but it's also a matter of what a delightfully individual and poignant voice it is.
