When Micah "Yeti" Cryder met Adam Davidson, he did something not for the faint of heart: he asked for an honest critique of his work. There is, arguably, no quicker way for new pipemaker to learn everything he is doing wrong, with a detailed explanation as to why everything that is wrong, is wrong.
A funny thing happened though. Adam's only advice was that Micah didn't need advice. His work was, simply, already excellent.
Would you have thought this pipe was made by a twenty-year old? Micah turned 21 just after making it. When did he start making pipes to get this good, this young? Eleven, twelve? Wrong. Unless you mean '11 or '12, as in 2011 or 2012 - then you'd be close. This young man, clearly, is a natural.
