Over the past year or so Adam Davidson has ventured into some much larger shapes; larger, that is, in comparison to his established tendency towards quite light, either compact or gracile designs. This substantial, smoothly muscular Pear stands as a testament to just how well he's taken to these new waters, presenting a well thought-out combination of flow and form, executed with a diligent eye for detail - such as the use of an extra-light sandblast to lend a mass-emphasizing texture while still perfectly maintaining the uninterrupted ease of the minimalist lines.
