It's a Calabash alright, but a Calabash as only Ardor would do it. This briar retains a good bit of the gourd's sinuous gesture, yet presents a stout-bodied, nearly cylindrical bowl, hitched up to an extra-deep transition, and an extra-slender silver mount. Speaking of which, that brings us to a particularly curious feature: the mount is the same as those used on Ardor's Ninfea pipes, typically their lightest and most slender designs. Well, if nothing else, this one is quite a bit lighter in hand than its looks would suggest, no doubt on account of just how much of the bowl was hollowed out to make room for an immensely deep chamber.
