I'll admit to being partial towards Ardor's Ninfea pipes. I favor smaller briars, and because their defining feature is a particular style of slender silver mount, Ninfea's are, as a rule, the smallest Ardors around. On top of that, and despite being their most diminutive creations, the Roveras make these things in a big, big spectrum in terms of both shapes and finishes. Indeed, there are only one or two specific shapes that I've seen repeated. In this case, they present us with a shape you don't often see from Italian pipemakers in general: the Blowfish, which originated in the Danish school and has become predominately the territory of Japanese artisans.
