Though the venerable firm from Lago di Como
isn't best known for their horns, damned if they don't (arguably) make one of the finest in all of Italy. Though unrepentantly modernist in execution, the exquisitely precise, stepped bevels of the sides of the rim add a touch of ancient embellishment, and prop your peepers at the hypnotic shape of the rim. What you can't see in picture #3 (lighting thang), is the crazy-tight crossgrain on the smooth, natural rim.
Anytime Ardor utilizes the Meteora finish, that pipe now boasts "art upon art"; the cubist frames which contain almost Pollack-esque swirls have a real mid-twentieth century feel to them, and the amount of labor which Dorelio has to invest to achieve this effect is insane. Crazy? Perhaps, but well worth the effort to the next owner.
