About This Pipe

Blue acrylic ferrule, brown faux-tortoise shell stem, silver spacer between the two, red stain, playful shape, rusticated bowl and smooth domed rim: is there any other pipe maker that would (or could) create such an assemblage of colors and textures so delightfully? When I see pipes like this from Ardor, I always immediately assume that Damiano (the son) was responsible, since his style is more eclectic and playful than his father's. In this instance, I was quite wrong: this is a Dorelio piece. In some ways that makes it even more fun: seeing pipes like this from Dorelio makes it clear to what a great degree that this is a collaborative creative environment, with each of the father-son duo influencing the other and guiding the overall aesthetic of the marque.
