Big? This Ardor Giant is SO big, that upon check-in with Southwest Airlines, the clerk made it pay for an entire row! The fact that this beautiful behemoth is wearing the Urano rustication is pretty appropriate; Uranus is roughly four times the size Earth, and one could easily create four pipes with this much briar...four large pipes. Until this pipe, I really didn't think that a Giant would be a good subject with which to imbue with a sense of momentum. Not that the technique wouldn't be applicable on a larger scale, shaping is shaping, it's just that such a nuance would be overlooked in the presence of such daunting size. I'll admit that the Roveras proved me wrong, this pipe is pure "Big and Speed". The rim is visible from the perspective of the smoker, a wonderful attribute, for who would want to risk scorching all of that smooth birdseye, by having to do the "I think the chamber is about here, so I'll put flame in that general area, start to puff, and see what happens", thing. That massive band of sterling silver is the perfect complement to the adumbral hues of of the Urano rustication.
