The apple is often referred to as something of a feminine shape, and, really, most renditions of it are, what with being rather small and smoothly rounded as a rule. This one isn't, however. This briar's curves are rendered in a solid style, its finish is dark and ruggedly blasted, and its shank is broad and sturdy. It all adds up to a rustic, handsome look. It also happens to make this Ashton quite a sure sitter, too.
