Being a fan of (practically) any Billiard variation, it is only natural that I am drawn to the long-shanked Canadian/Lumberman. While not all Canadians are sitters (some are, ahem...Mounties
), the ones that do sit, rival the Poker/Cherrywood in terms of utilitarian design. The extra length of briar has been said to provide a cooler smoke. Although that may be debatable, I do believe that it will aid in the reduction of moisture; there is more briar to absorb moisture before it reaches the smoker's mouth. This Old Church is a fetching model of a shape that the Brits do best (in my opinion), and the light-tan sandblast highlights some seriously gorgeous, albeit delicate, ring grain.
