It took me a little while to figure out what was different about this particular Paolo Becker morta, though the answer should have been obvious. It's the first one to ever hit our site that sports a horn mount. Frankly, I hope these become a common thing; in both color and texture, a bit of lighter-colored, smooth-polished horn makes a perfect, natural accent for the dark, open-grained morta. He's combined the two here quite smartly, in a fairly conservative straight Brandy design for bowl and shank, and with the horn ferrule and slender stem rendered in the style of a classic military mount configuration.
