Benni Jorgensen: Sandblasted Bent Dublin
Product Number: 002-331-0264
This bent Dublin, robed in a light yet refined sandblast, exhibits all of the best qualities of Danish pipe design: sleek, sinuous and profoundly graceful. The domed bowl reminds one slightly of a Calabash or Rhodesian, the transition is as seamless as a Horn or Oliphant and the softly triangular shank may evokes, for a glimmering moment, the Bulldog. The bowl's anterior to the right and left of the shank-ridge presents subtle cheeks, but at the center-most point they blend effortlessly into one fluid form. So intuitive and natural is all this business of transitioning that I have only one resounding question: How else could it have been?
