The Dublin is one of the most versatile of shapes. It can be refined and controlled or, as in this Bruce Weaver Sandblasted Bent Dublin, more rustic and organic. On the front of the bowl, Bruce has gone for a traditional rim, albeit one that flows quite well with the bottom line that extends all the way from the bit. On the back side of the bowl, however, he has allowed the rim to dissolve into an elegant curve that resembles an Acorn. The chamber is drilled at just the right angle to maximize depth, and the piece is finished, of course, with Bruce’s signature blast.
