And what better way to kick off such a carver's work than with a handsome, robustly proportioned Rhodesian of the kind of super-etched ring grain blast that's drawn so much attention to the man? Indeed, this is a lovely pipe, what with the way the matte, double-contrast stain of the sandblasted surface plays against with the smooth wide saucer rim spotted with plateau, and the band of exotic wood at the shank. I can't wait to see what's next from Bruce Weaver.
