The Liverpool doesn't seem to get nearly as much love as its sibling Lovat, and I have to admit many that I've seen have looked a little "off" when compared to the saddle-stemmed variant. This, I suspect, is simply that the short, strongly tapered stem tends to pull the pipe's aesthetic balance backwards by a fair degree. Here, the Ascortis present a simple solution: an extra-broad, Pot-like bowl. Problem solved, and you get that much extra chamber out of it, too.
