Caminetto: Smooth Billiard (AT)

Product Number: 002-011-0169

Though by today's thinking this is a canted Billiard, once upon a time it would have been called a Zulu. Yes, the very first Zulus were straight-stemmed, as it turns out, and had no taper at the bowl, either. (Hat tip to Neil Archer Roan, who turned this up in his research.) Along with bringing back this smooth, forward combination, Tommy Ascorti has here also thrown in a bit of Stack, and a plateau rim to boot. The result is a seamless, dynamic, and deep-chamber briar, and a beautifully grained one at that.
