Though not quite so extreme, the bowl of this Castello straight Billiard has been stretched out into a cross-section reminiscent of those old oval-bowled (and oval-chambered) Opera pipes. While that shape was designed with an eye towards making a pipe that would slip into a pocket without interrupting the lines of tailored formal wear, this Castello is in fact quite substantial - and, fortunately, still retains a cylindrical chamber. (Many find the Opera shape's oval chambers more than a little finicky.) Though the feel in hand is quite a bit different than your standard Billiard, it's also wonderfully smooth and gently contoured as well.
