A design that definitely falls into the naturalistic end of Castello's design spectrum, this Old Antiquari presents a flaring and flourishing take on the old Cherrywood. And, despite all the liveliness of line and form, and the pretty lengthy stem, shank, and mount combination, it actually proves to be a rock-solid sitter. It's not at all bad in hand either, for that matter, and the deep, thick-walled chamber should provide a long and comfortable smoke. As for the briar itself, the ring grain is both plentiful and wild, a combination that's well-matched to this design.
