Like most other Italian artisanal marques (or independent artisans, for that matter) Castello tends to skew towards larger, meatier briars. They do turn out exceptions here and there, however, and this is definitely one one them. Though the shaping of line and form, and the lovely golden contrast stain, are readily recognizable as "Castelllo", the scale at which this straight Billiard has been rendered is closer to what you'd expect of pipe from Dunhill's smallest Group sizes. The result is a beautiful Italian design, in light and handy pocket-pipe proportions. And just for good measure, they threw in an impressive display of flame grain covering both flanks as well.
