The stem may bear a slight bend, I'm still going with "Canadian" here. Besides, that sort of slant-nosed stylization of stem is a Castello signature, and in particular a signature of their long-shanked shapes. This one's just got a little
bit more of it than usual. And in a dark, silky deep purple, which lends an extra dose of color to it all - when the light catches it just right. Contrasting the the shape is very solid and firm (another Castello signature), rugged in texture, and densely ring-grained.
