Numbered 9, out of an insanely low total production of 25, this limited edition Castello Trademark was christened 1970, for a couple of appropriate reasons: 1. This shape was originally created in 1970, as part of a limited edition series, and... 2. The briar used in the svelte smoker before you hails from 1970. Not taking into account any seasoning the heath burl might have enjoyed prior to 1970, this form is crafted from briar which has been aged a minimum of 44 years after harvest. That alone has peaked the interest of this old-wood lover. The shape is one which most any collector would gravitate towards. Sleek, elegant and timeless, and sporting a subtle split at the bottom of the Cutty-like peg at the heel (a feature which allows this briar to sit with astounding stability), once you take into account the decidedly above-Trademark-grain, this decision should be as easy as falling off a log.
