"Last month I flew to Africa and had the opportunity to play poker with the chief of a famous tribe" "Zulus?" "No, I won!" (rim-shot). The Zulu shape, much like that old burlesque joke, falls into the category of a once popular classic that doesn't see as much use as it used to. In the case of the old chestnut humor, good riddance, but with a shape that offers this level of elegance and paw appeal, I personally think think the Zulu needs an 'up-vote', big time.
As always, Maestro Cavicchi's sandblasted grain approaches the supernatural in its perfection. I asked Pete, who sits across from me, to count the number of tightly concentric rings on this beauty, and he came up with '22'(it's a good thing he did the count, I can't even count to 21 (unless naked)). While just an aside, I find that many Zulu tend towards thin-walls, but that's not a problem with the pipe before you; Maestro Cavicchi left plenty of briar between your hand and the burning bright leaf.
