Is it me, or does this Apple (cut us a bit of slack, Apple was about as close as the collective could get to the shape) have a passing family resemblance to the Mariner inspired forms found in another artisan's 'La Pipaccia' series? The clean backwards sweep of the shank and bit along with the prominent spur at the rear of the heel is something I've never run across in the previously mentioned collection. To my mind, there is a wee bit of a certain company's 'Fantasy' series going on here as well. If it's true that imaginative shape will naturally provoke thought, this is one imaginative pipe indeed.
