Acornabash, anyone? That's what I'm seeing here; sinuous Calabash flow combined with an Acorn-shaped, smoothly contoured bowl. And I have to say I like it. That's not any surprise, granted, as Claudio Cavicchi's reputation for stellar shaping is well-established, whether he's sticking to the strictly classic, or or running with more creative concoctions of line and form like this. As for his sandblasted finishes and quality of briar, well, just look at this one. It's completely covered in fine ring grain, and again I'm not surprised, given the artisan it came from.
