About This Pipe
Yet another Cutty from up and comer Chris Asteriou, I daresay this piece is even more delicate, and perhaps more provocative, than the last iteration of the shape we saw from him. The bowl is exceptionally supple here, especially around its posterior and at its transition to the top of its pencil thin shank. The composition as a whole is very lean, very lengthy, and perfectly poised down to the button. Stained in a deep, rich burgundy, the piece is cut to show off some interesting cross-grain across the rim of the pipe and down its shank. Beautiful stuff!
