About This Pipe
The straight Acorn is not exactly the most common shape to begin with, and seeing one rendered in Danish style is particularly worthy of inspiring a double-take. which I did indeed do when first seeing this Chris Asteriou. On top of that, the way he's handled the taper of the shank and the shaping of the stem creates a profile that gives the impression of a bit of bend, which again draws one's attention further in just to assess whether or not it is indeed straight or not. Novel it may be, but rest assured that Chris did not rely on novelty alone - the shaping and finishing throughout is clean and fine, and the grain, as you can see, is downright beautiful in and of itself.
