Don Carlos: Kronos Rusticated Cherrywood

Product Number: 002-124-0063

The Kronos line is a set of four pipes inspired by the U.S. based Kronos String Quartet. Based in San Francisco (Kronos, not Bruto Sordini - he’s considerably further to the east), Kronos played its first concert in 1978, and has won world-wide acclaim for brilliant interpretations of the most diverse repertoire imaginable. The spirit of Kronos is well captured in the series; featuring vividly contrasted hues and lines which can run from jaggedly contrasting to sublimely complementary. One signature of a Don Carlos Kronos pipe is the upturned business end of the bit, something which Sordini holds helps to cut down on tongue bite.
