Max Rimensi seems to take inspiration from a variety of sources. In this case, Jeremy and I agree that - from the size of the bowl, to the gentle curve of the thick shank, to the elegant transition - it has to be Ser Jacopo. We've seen bent Brandies from Rimensi before, but the execution here is so refined that it places Max side by side with Giancarlo himself. It's finished in Max's own unique style with a warm, red contrast stain to highlight the perfect cross-grain and birdseye orientation, and horn accent on the thick base of the saddle stem to top of the composition.
