Max is not an artisan you can pigeonhole into one particular school; his shapes span a broad spectrum of classic, neoclassic, modern and freehand influences ranging from the English to the Japanese. All that having been said, here's a shape I've never seen from Massimiliano before. I could best describe it, perhaps, as a hybrid of Blowfish, Opera pipe, and golf club. Whatever you might call it, it's a design that definitely stands out. The warm, dusk-sunlight-and-terracotta contrast presents an interesting beauty (reminding me of a desert stone formation being struck by the day's last rays of sunlight), the ring grain is plentiful, and between the choice of strawberry wood as the material and the lean shaping, it feels as light as a feather.
