About This Pipe
Massimiliano Rimensi is known for working in a wide variety of materials as well as shaping styles. While the former is usually brought up relation to his bowls, which frequently appear in briar, morta, and olivewood alike, you can also never be quite sure what he's going to use next for accents, either. By example, this broad, low-slung, beautifully ring-grained rendition of the Rhodesian sports a wafer-thin disk of what appears to be (out best guess) highly polished, and possibly contrast-stained, bone.
