Some Quaints are completely off-the-chart designs. Others began life as standard Dunhill shapes that have been altered to produce something a little different. This one, I suspect, started life as an "04" straight Bulldog shape, before someone gave it the chop-top treatment, as well as pairing down the shank and transition until they were as finely-proportioned as what you might expect to see on a Group 2 or even Group 1 rendition. Toss in a long, gently down-turned stem, and the result is a light and graceful design with more in common with the classic English Prince, albeit a lot sharper.
