The bent Bulldog is not just a classic shape, it's one of the most broadly appealing and most populous classics. Unlike, say, the Author or Opera or Belge, you generally don't have to look very hard to find one (or a dozen) by any given marque. As such I was rather surprised to find out how few cumberland-stemmed "08" shapes we've seen in the Group 3 size (Group 3, along with Group 4, being Dunhill's "medium" sizes). How many? Four: One County, one Chestnut, and two Cumberlands, counting this one, which comes four years after the first. Handsome shape in a convenient all-purpose size, a fine-textured blast, a dark, warm finish, a simply beautiful stem... and a real shame these aren't easier to find.
