About This Pipe

For some, the Dunhill Black Briar/Dress finishes can be so confusing that it makes James Joyce's Finnegan's Wake look like a USA Today pie chart, but it's actually pretty simple. The Black Briar was originally not as opaque as the Dress finish, was retired for a while, and was then resurrected as a clone to the Dress finish, but only applied as a title when a Dress pipe was fitted with a piece of sterling that differed from the standard line. Hey, it's Dunhill. You explain it to me, and then I can explain it to you. To simplify things, think of this as a Dress straight billiard, with a sterling military mount (and a very nice one at that).
