About This Pipe
Because all of Dunhill's Quaints have their genesis in a block of briar that will not allow for a conventional shape, I am used to seeing shapes that, to my mind, come closer to semi-freehands. This Quaint is remarkably close to a standard, albeit less frequently seen shape; the 4401. Though a bit unconventional for Dunhill the semi-circular arc of the shank and bit has something of a natural beauty about it. Grain hounds will really love this briar; the growth rings that appear of the front and back of the bowl are downright hypnotic.
